  • Google Scholar - indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines

 

Gray literature:

What is “gray literature”?  According to The Fourth International Conference on Grey Literature in 1999, it is "That which is produced on all levels of government, academics, business and industry in print and electronic formats, but which is not controlled by commercial publishers." 

These sources are more difficult to search as a group, and may be more difficult to validate, but may contain excellent information in addition to those documents from more traditional sources.  Here are a few links to get you started:
