Here is everything you need to know.
ALL Blackboard (LLC) supported instances (NIPR, SIPR, Bb.COM) will go offline on 31 March 2026. There will not be any extensions or exceptions to policy. You MUST download or migrate all content from these systems prior to 31 March 2026. This includes grades for graduated students for archival/accreditation purposes.

A: Yes, ATRSS integration will be available in the near future.
- Q: Will I be able to continue to use Blackboard to retain student grades and records past 1 April 2026?:
A: No, the current Blackboard systems will be shut down. You will need to coordinate with your registers or school to determine a COA for retaining student records.
- Q:What user roles will be available on ATIS-Educate?
A: Please refer to the guide.
- Q: What is the difference between ATIS-Learn and ATIS-Educate?
A: The ATIS-Learn system is equipped with the Army Course Plugin which makes it function and act like the traditional ALMS system. It is designed to deliver self-paced courses content, which may not need instructors to guide students. The ATIS Educate is a full featured LMS that offers course workflows, additional course roles, and a plethora of additional features.
- Q: Do I need to migrate my course from Blackboard into CTE or can I wait for ATIS-Educate to be available?
A: CTE is primarily designed for asynchronous courses to be developed for ATIS-Learning. However, courses built in CTE can export into ATIS-Educate. You may start developing within CTE now if you prefer to maximize development time while waiting for ATIS-Educate to become available.
- Q: Will there be any ATIS-SIPR to replace the SIPR Blackboard Instance?
A: No, at this time there will not be another SIPR LMS being offered to replace the SIPR Blackboard system. Schools currently using the SIPR Blackboard systems are advised to leverage SIPR SharePoint, SIPR Teams, or JKO-S.
- Q: Our school used the Respondus Lockdown Browser to prevent cheating and/or the SafeAssign for antiplagiarism. Will there be similar products or features available on ATIS-Educate?
A: Replacement features are currently being explored.
